*This role can be performed anywhere in the world, so long as the candidate is eligible to practice law in South Australia and has the ability to operate in our clients’ timezone (ACDT/ACT).
About You
To be considered for the role, you must hold a relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor of Laws or equivalent) and have 2-5 years of experience in Workers’ Compensation, Personal Injuries Claims and/or General Litigation.
Critical to your success in this role will be the ability to work independently while also identifying opportunities for collaboration and delegation as necessary (this may include with other solicitors and/or paralegals). We also require you to possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), as many of your duties will require you to interact with high-level professionals, tribunals and other solicitors.
As this role can be performed remotely, the ideal candidate will need to possess excellent time management and organisational skills.
About the Role
HRAC currently has an opportunity for a motivated and experienced Solicitor to join their team in Adelaide either on-site (hybrid role) or on a remote basis.
Reporting to the Senior Solicitor, the day to day responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:
- Engaging in the review of ongoing claims, and providing appropriate legal advice;
- Managing rejected claims;
- Liaising with tribunals, conference preparation, and;
- Liaising with medical and other professionals to gather information and establish claims.
HRAC take a highly contemporary and collaborative approach to their work. In this role, you will oversee a team of paralegals who are responsible for looking after much of the administration associated with each claim. Operating in this way allows their solicitors to not only optimise the use of their time and expertise, but also provides an opportunity to develop leadership and management skills.
